PRIDE in Silks

Every June during Pride, brands roll out rainbow products.

It definitely would be easy to put together a collection of colourful silks, put a couple buzz words in the caption and a few rainbow graphics here and there….

But does that really mean anything?

Pride is about people. It's about visibility, and the freedom to live authentically. It also means highlighting the ongoing work of those creating communities where everyone feels welcome and safe to live their truth. 

Every week we release a silk collection, so why not use it as an opportunity to highlight members of Hamilton's LGBTQIA2S+ community?

Throughout the month, we'll be using this collection as an opportunity to highlight members of Hamilton's community whose work, creativity, leadership, and advocacy help shape the city’s queer and safe spaces. 

A big thank you to Queer Coffee for facilitating these shoots!
