Hand-Painted Leather Artistic Messenger Bag by Pepin Designs

A one-of-a-kind messenger bag by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.

This exceptional piece is centred around a fully hand-painted leather composition. The flap is painted on both sides, with the outward-facing side finished in chartreuse leather layered with coral and yellow paint splatters. Even the closure detail is considered: the buttonhole is reinforced with black ostrich leather, while the button itself is crafted from hand-painted leather.

The body of the bag is entirely painted in shades of purple and sky blue, accented with touches of yellow and magenta. The surface has a pointillist quality, giving the piece depth, movement, and visual texture.

The strap attachments are reinforced with red leather where they meet the bag on both sides, adding strength and a vivid structural detail. The shorter strap is made from dark brown leather combined with black felted wool for comfort and durability. An interior pocket provides added storage and organization.

Designed for versatility, this bag can be carried as a clutch or worn over one shoulder with the bag tucked neatly under the arm.
