A one-of-a-kind coat by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.
Crafted from richly coloured boiled wool, this piece offers warmth, breathability, and natural water resistance. The tone is a balanced, neutral red that sits between blue-red and orange-red, making it versatile across seasons and wardrobes.
The coat features Pépin’s signature attention to construction details. Exposed seams and decorative trim add dimension, while a performance fabric inner panel introduces additional durability. The pockets are constructed from wool felt and finished with contrasting orange stitching.
Buttons are handmade by the designer using leather remnants, and each side of the coat features slightly different buttonhole detailing. As with many of Pépin’s designs, the buttons can be repositioned to adjust the fit over time.
The collar can be worn open or styled into a sculptural shawl collar by fastening it in different ways, allowing the neckline to be shaped according to preference.
Sleeves are intentionally cut longer and may be folded to adjust the length.
This piece is unmarked for size but fits comfortably around a Large with room to spare, and may also accommodate Medium through Extra Large depending on button placement.
Rich colour. Thoughtful craftsmanship.
Entirely unique — as with all of Pépin’s work.
Bust width (underarm to underarm laid flat): 26"
Hips width (laid flat): 25"
