A one-of-a-kind coat by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.
Crafted from boiled wool, this piece offers natural warmth, breathability, and light water resistance. Though primarily black, the coat is enriched with colourful embroidered stitching throughout, including accents of orange, blue, green, and red that bring subtle movement and character to the design.
Patch pockets are constructed from felted wool and finished with contrasting embroidery.
Sleeves are intentionally cut long and detailed so they may be folded to adjust the length while still revealing decorative stitching inside the cuff.
Buttons are handmade by the designer from Fimo, paired with leather buttonholes cut from leather remnants.
The interior across the shoulders and front panel is reinforced with cotton lining, helping the coat maintain its shape while remaining comfortable to wear.
The neckline features one of Pépin’s signature sculptural shawl collars, which can be styled in different ways depending on how the coat is fastened.
Marked size Large–Extra Large. The fit offers generous room through the upper body, with slightly less room through the hips. As with many of Pépin’s designs, buttons can be repositioned to adjust the fit.
Versatile colour. Thoughtful construction.
Entirely unique — as with all of Pépin’s work.
Bust width (underarm to underarm laid flat): 28"
Hips width (laid flat): 26"
Total length (shoulder to hem): 35.5"
Sleeve length (approx.): 20"
Sleeve width (laid flat): 9"
Sleeve opening width (laid flat): 7"
Handmade in Quebec, Canada
All of Rejean Pepin's coats are handmade in his atelier in Quebec using new and rescued leather, wool and cotton. He also occasionally uses performance fabric for added weather protection.
