Chartreuse Leather Messenger Bag by Pepin Designs
A one-of-a-kind messenger bag by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.
This striking piece is crafted from exceptionally soft chartreuse leather layered with acid yellow highlights, creating depth and movement across the surface. The finish has an almost underwater quality, with shifting tones that make the colour especially distinctive.
The base is made from brown cowhide and trimmed with black faux leather, a thoughtful detail that helps reduce additional weight while maintaining structure and durability.
The flap is a standout feature. It is joined to the bag with a panel of very soft calfskin. The interior side of the flap is made from muskrat, sheared for an exceptionally soft hand feel, in blended shades of grey and taupe. The exterior side is finished in soft yellow leather with hand-applied splatters of black, dark green, acid yellow, golden yellow, and brown. A black ostrich-textured appliqué adds further dimension and contrast.
The closure is completed with a handmade cognac leather button.
An interior pocket provides added storage and organization.
Designed for versatility, this bag can be worn crossbody or carried over one shoulder.
