As with many of Pépin’s designs, the buttons can be repositioned to adjust the fit. Currently set to fit approximately a Small–Medium, with room to expand toward a Large depending on button placement.
A one-of-a-kind winter coat by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.
This piece is constructed from multiple carefully selected leathers and shearlings, layered together to create warmth without excess weight. The upper panels feature black-dyed goat fur, chosen for its exceptional softness. The centre body is crafted from Italian lamb, finished with a lightly sueded surface similar to nubuck, with its natural shearling lining visible on the interior.
The lower panels are made from Spanish merino shearling, known for its remarkably soft and fine texture. Together, these materials create a coat that offers the warmth of shearling while remaining surprisingly lightweight.
Pockets are constructed using goat fur, with leather on the exterior and the soft fur lining on the inside. The coat features Pépin’s signature architectural shawl collar, which can be worn fully buttoned to create height and structure or left open for a more relaxed silhouette.
Sleeves are intentionally cut longer and may be folded to adjust the length.
Because of the panel construction, the coat can also be altered by adding additional sections while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
Exceptional materials. Careful construction.
Entirely unique — as with all of Pépin’s work.
Bust width (underarm to underarm laid flat): 22"
Hips width (laid flat): 24"
Total length (shoulder to hem): 41"
Sleeve length (approx.): 20.5"
Sleeve width (laid flat): 9"
Sleeve opening width (laid flat): 6"
Handmade in Quebec, Canada
All of Rejean Pepin's coats are handmade in his atelier in Quebec using new and rescued leather, wool and cotton. He also occasionally uses performance fabric for added weather protection.
