Designed as a true one-size garment, the cape layers easily and moves comfortably across a wide range of body shapes.
A one-of-a-kind cape by Québec designer Réjean Pépin, an artisan known for combining traditional craftsmanship with inventive material pairings to create garments with character and individuality.
This piece is crafted from vibrant knit wool in a vivid orange tone with cool undertones. The knit structure gives the cape warmth while allowing it to drape naturally over the body.
Cotton trim frames the edges of the garment, paired with soft blue-grey leather that has been intentionally cut with uneven edges. The contrast between the clean lines of the wool body and the irregular leather trim adds texture and visual interest.
Buttons are handmade by the designer from Fimo, and the leather buttonholes are cut from scraps in his workshop, reflecting Pépin’s resourceful approach to materials.
The cape features a soft collar that can be worn open, folded down, or lifted slightly for more structure at the neckline. The open silhouette allows the piece to be worn loosely draped or lightly fastened depending on styling preference.
Distinctive colour. Thoughtful construction.
Entirely unique — as with all of Pépin’s work.
Bust width approx. (laid flat): 53"
Hips width approx. (laid flat): 37"
Total length (shoulder to hem): 34"
Handmade in Quebec, Canada
All of Rejean Pepin's coats are handmade in his atelier in Quebec using new and rescued leather, wool and cotton. He also occasionally uses performance fabric for added weather protection.
