Fuchsia Perforated Pigskin Messenger Bag by Pepin Designs
A one-of-a-kind messenger bag by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.
This lightweight piece is crafted from perforated fuchsia pigskin with an exceptionally soft hand feel. The body is trimmed in black felted wool, creating contrast while adding softness and structure.
The front flap features a luxurious patch of European lambskin, adding texture and depth to the design. The buttonhole is reinforced with satchel-brown leather for durability, while a handmade bright green Fimo button with a touch of red provides a playful accent.
The strap is designed for comfort and visual interest. The front is finished in yellow leather with blue hand-painted splatter details, while the reverse is backed with charcoal grey felted wool for softness against the body.
The base of the bag is made from brown cow leather and finished with forest green leather trim, giving the piece added durability and a grounded structural finish.
An interior pocket provides added storage and organization.
Designed for versatility, this bag can be worn crossbody or carried over one shoulder.
All of Rejean Pepin's coats are handmade in his atelier in Quebec using new and rescued leather, wool and cotton. He also occasionally uses performance fabric for added weather protection.
