The silhouette is relaxed through the body. Marked size Large, though it may also accommodate a Medium depending on button placement. As with many of Pépin’s designs, the buttons can be repositioned to adjust the fit.
A one-of-a-kind 7/8-length coat by Québec designer Réjean Pépin.
The body of the coat is constructed from wool twill in a rich wine tone, combined with panels of felted wool, wool tweed, and additional wool textures that introduce subtle variation in colour and structure. The palette blends taupe grey, sage green, blue, and burgundy, creating a balanced composition across the garment.
Pockets are constructed from performance fabric and accented with layered black tones and contrasting orange stitching. Additional performance fibre appears in the herringbone paneling, providing durability and subtle texture. The sleeves are lined with boiled wool for warmth and finished with black interior fabric that becomes visible when the cuffs are folded.
The coat also incorporates cotton-wool blend trim and carefully placed leather detailing, reflecting Pépin’s layered approach to materials and construction.
Rich colour. Layered wool textures.
Entirely unique — as with all of Pépin’s work.
Bust width (underarm to underarm laid flat): 26.5"
Hips width (laid flat): 24"
Total length (shoulder to hem): 41"
Sleeve length (approx.): 19"
Sleeve width (laid flat): 10"
Sleeve opening width (laid flat): 8"
Handmade in Quebec, Canada
All of Rejean Pepin's coats are handmade in his atelier in Quebec using new and rescued leather, wool and cotton. He also occasionally uses performance fabric for added weather protection.
